Liquid Waste Technology (LWT), the world leader in small, high-tech dredging equipment, broke ground on a new 50,000 square foot production facility in the New Richmond Business & Technical Park, New Richmond, Wisconsin.

The 15 acre construction site is located at the intersection of Richmond Way and Madison Avenue (located between County Road A and State Highway 65) in the business park.

(l to r) David Schnitzler, New Richmond’s Mayor, presented a memento to LWT’s chairman, Peter Bowe, as a welcoming gesture during the May 30th ceremonial groundbreaking.

New Building Under Construction

LWT received approval from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce for an allocation of Industrial Revenue Bonds (IRBs) to finance the project. The company will spend $5 million to construct and equip the new facility. It is scheduled for completion in Late 2007 and will replace the current facility owned by the company in Somerset. The new facility will feature a demonstration dredge pond and space for operator training and education. The site contains sufficient space for future expansions.

LWT exports their dredge equipment to dozens of countries, according to Peter A. Bowe, company chairman. The expansion project is expected to create dozens of new jobs and contribute new business growth in New Richmond.

Additional information can be found on the company’s website at www.lwtpithog.com.
